Baylor Scott & White Health is the largest not-for-profit health care system in Texas. It’s one of the nation’s largest multispecialty and integrated systems offering a complete, seamless continuum of services in addition to a health plan. Philanthropy plays an important role in supporting the organization’s growth and innovation as a regional and national leader in setting a new standard for the delivery exceptional patient care.
A communication strategy was needed to emphasize the role of philanthropy and its part in advancing the health system’s brand. Korzenowski Design worked with Scott & White’s marketing department and Foundation leadership to develop a vehicle to communicate key organizational initiatives as well as philanthropic priorities through shared patient stories and outlines of medical breakthroughs.
The result is The Catalyst, a biannual, award-winning publication that inspires people to become more involved in their own health and in the wellbeing of their communities. It has emerged as the flagship publication of the Baylor Scott & White Health – Central Texas Foundation. In addition, it is a primary vehicle for corporate marketing and is also used for recruitment by human resources and physician relations.
Korzenowski Design supports The Catalyst with a full range of publication-related and project management services, including issue/print scheduling and weekly schedule management, concepting and design, pagination, commission and art direction of photography and illustration, stock image research and procurement, photo retouching, editorial proofreading, preparation of final files using state-of-the-art PDF production workflow, print coordination and press checks, and fulfillment and mailing coordination. Post-production support includes asset management, preparation of content for internet publication and archiving.
